Pilates
Pilates is a low impact form of body conditioning designed to improve muscle tone, and hence posture and correct muscular imbalances. It increases flexibility, balance, co-ordination, concentration, joint mobility, stamina and endurance and of course leads to a better overall sense of wellbeing.
1. Pilates can develop the body uniformly, correct wrong posture, restore physical vitality by creating a strong centre (Abs are switched on!), invigorate the mind and elevate the spirit.
2. Pilates is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace, endurance.
You can balance your total fitness by doing three different kinds of exercises. Strength, Stamina & Suppleness(the three S's). Pilates is great for gaining Strength and Suppleness. If you add some cardio-vascular exercise such as walking/ swimming, you have a total fitness regime!!
